How do you make time for everything?
Do you ever feel like you want to do everything? I remember my daughter being like that when she was younger. She wanted to do every after-school club, sport, and activity. She wanted to go to friends’ houses and see all the movies when they came out. I remember telling her, “you just can’t do everything. Pick something and do it well.” I should listen to my own advice. There are so many things I want to do and I just can’t find the time. And as I get older I feel like time is running out.
I never make New Year’s Resolutions. This way I can’t break them 😉 But I do need to set some goals. And those goals need a time and action plan. I know how to do this. I worked in corporate America for many years. Lately I have been lazy and flying by the seat of my pants. And that worked pretty well until the last few months. Business at the Arts Center has exploded. That should be a happy thing yet the better the business is, the more work I have to do. That means I never get to play. I’m not afraid of hard work, but I want to do other things. Like photography!!!
This was my big personal growth venture this month: learning how to do double exposure. It was fun and cool, but I didn’t really get to play around with it as much as I would like. I want to spend time delving deeper into these projects and learning more, creating more. As it is now, I rush through everything.
